I’m thinking Lemon wants Laura’s arsenal destroyed, that’s why she’s being nice and helpful here. And wouldn’t it make death a whole lot easier to accept if someone you know shows up and promises to be there all the way, an actual metaphysical being who will actually be with you on the other side? Her being nice or not can have tremendous power over whether someone decides to die or to fight it.
