I did not remember that this was the first page, but I distinctly remember that this comic had the record for getting me absolutely hooked very quickly: at the first page. (This record has since been beaten by Dude in Distress: that had me hooked by merely reading the title, and the idea. A rather bland guy ends up in a romantic relationship with world famous superheroine. It is even better than it sounds.)
This is still one of the most fun comic pages I’ve ever seen!
I remembered differntly later: I now think it was an ad, with the tagline “In a call center, no one can hear you scream” that had me thinking “I NEED to read that comic”. Which would also be before the first page, but with a few more words and a picture rather than just the title.

This comes from the days when I was fairly fresh out of call-center work myself, (and still sort of working for one)!
This page was originally a once-off parody which I shared at the call center. The reactions I got prompted me to keep drawing, and to launch Rawrtacular.com 🙂
Gotta love those job agencies that have a vested interest in directing people to jobs regardless of their qualifications. I think they like to call it a finder’s fee.
