@Kessy: Mike never knew what Karen saw in him in the first place, since he considers her to be out if his league, and when she went off with Magnu, it was proof that whatever she wants, it isn’t him.
If my own awkward past is any measure, he can’t think of a way to ask such a question without sounding lame and whiny, and his self-confidence is now almost completely non-existent, since she’s already (metaphorically) slapped him down once–hard.
@Kessy: As Delta said, Mike’s kinda been knocked down by Karen and bringing up the fact that she shacked up with Magnu right after she was about to make out with him…makes it awkward as hell.
I’m kind of going for that ‘after the office x-mas party awkwardness’ that you can get.
Right now Mike has got only one move: avoidance, and the stress of not dealign with this is slowly but surely building up all manner of insane fantasies in his head….like these two mini-girls 😀
I don’t think Mike is entirely sure what to do here. Karen did end up with Magnu, but up until the last time she got wasted on Office Party, she was locked onto getting Mike. If she had simply rejected him it might have been easier to move on, but instead he’s stuck in an emotional limbo (much to Gary’s amusement).
what makes this more amusing is that call girl and mini-Karen are both (presumably) aspects of Mike’s subconscious.
That being said, would it kill Mike to just ask Karen how she feels about all this? Not that I know anything about relationships, but just saying…
Woo! Mini-battle upcoming!

@Delta: I hope you won’t be disappointed.
