There you go. Laura’s reasoning behind all of this.
I kind of hope that she makes a little more sense now. The whole thing with her kidnapping and re-programming people (particularly young women) for her forces is something I like to think has happened due to her going mad with power. Beyond that, she’s just very lonely.
But will Karen sympathise? Will she escape? Or will she allow herself to remain in captivity? Stay tuned to find out.
Called it. ^^
And as I also predicted, I feel more charitable toward her. 🙂
There’s still the whole slavery thing, however. 🙁
Sure enough, you were right 😀
I kinda like doing this with my villains, making them evil; but giving them a good reason.
I do like her character-wise and I am looking at ways to hold onto her for later. But for now, she is the baddie 🙂
If you don’t give your antagonists relateable motivations, they become cardboard cutout villains. Even if they’re really nasty, selfish people, their actions need to make sense – they can’t be evil just for the sake of being evil.
Well, unless you work for Fox News…
