Ah Spring-Flower…I just made her as a filler character for the GREG flashbacks but she sort of became my favourite GREG character lately (thus her popping up so often). It looks like Mike is helpless against her cutesy-love-attack….it’s super effective…
But now Mike needs to be ‘less of a gentleman’? What’s all that about?
Perhaps dropping on his back to knock her loose, followed by either a knockout punch or a solar plexus strike. She’s got him pretty well locked up, otherwise.
This entire arc reminds me of Superman The Animated Series S03E10 – Unity. “Join ussssss” they say.
I think Spring-Flower is referring to herself with that last line. In that position, I can just imagine what she could do to poor Mike. At least that’s the way it makes more sense to me.
Also, Sam’s line in the 4th panel sounds like she’s from the 70’s. “Don’t call me that crazy-ass name, Jive-turkey!”. Kind of like Foxy Cleopatra from Austin Powers in Goldmember: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg-ywBSbQXg.
And I know I’m a terrible fan because I keep forgetting people’s names, but I think a Cast page would be helpful.
@Delta: Not a bad plan there Delta 😀 Alas, I don’t know if Mike is up to the challenge. We’ll have to see 😀
@Farren: 😀 I know I’ve watched that series, but it’s been so long that I can’t remember 😀
Arg, I screwed up by leaving out a tail on that last bubble. The last line with Spring-Flower was supposed to be coming from Sam. She was instructing Mike to be less of a gentleman (essentially: get ready to fight).
Glad you got a 70’s vibe from Sam’s line, that was I was going for. Although Sam is based on an actual Back Office fan who had asked me if she could appear in the comic. My answer was Sam, who design-wise is heavily based on the aforementioned Foxy Cleopatra (but also Foxxi Love from Drawn Together).
I know what you mean by a cast page. I even forgot Spring-Flower’s name and had to look it up! I will fix this when I rebuilt the site (hopefully soon)
