I haven’t used a fully automatic before, let alone anything resembling a sub-machine gun or a full machine gun, but my father has a few rifles where if you don’t know what your doing you’re more of a threat to yourself than to your target. Not to say that some people don’t have a natural talent for certain weapons, but it isn’t exactly common.
I always had a feeling that rifles were particularly difficult to handle (once heard of a guy smashing his cheek bone with a rifle after not holding it right). It could very well be that Karen knows a bit about weapons (She did seem pleased to see the ‘hardware’ room earlier on).
The weird thing about writing some of these characters, is that they are sort of making their own story as I draw them. It’s almost as if I have no real control on what they do next! Karen is very similar to Gary, in the sense that I didn’t really plan her creation. She just sort of appeared out of nowhere, and has been growing since. Her next move may be as much a surprise to me as everyone else. (Which is really weird, since I’m the one writing/drawing this comic!!)
She’s going Rambo! I hope she’s got some training with that gun, or this is going to get messy.
Ha…I never really thought about her weapons-training….oh well…things may get interesting 🙂
