Hey everybody. Just one or two things in this update.
First, the ‘attack’ on RAWRtacular I reported before seems to have just been a large increase in spam comment traffic. Thankfully Akismet and CAPTCHA has caught all of them. Alas, this still means that it’s not easy for me to see who is linking to RAWRtacular.com, since most of the inbound links I’m seeing are just spam attempts.
The other part of this update is kinda good news. RAWRtacular has passed another milestone with it’s very first advertising partner. Play-Asia.com, a distributor of Manga, Anime and other related stuff will now be getting some advert space on the site, starting with RAWRlog, and then moving to the comics. This is good news for RAWRtacular because this could generate cash needed to actually run the site (right now all of this site’s costs come for my own pocket.).
But don’t worry. This doesn’t mean that I’ll allow a tonne of dumb adverts to appear here. There will be no shooting of iPhones, or insulting Evony adverts here. I will do my best to keep the adverts to a minimum and the material relevant to RAWRtacular readership. Play-Asia fitted into this box, and since I can customise their adverts, I can (hopefully) keep the adverts tasteful and useful.
