Office Parties…you can love them, but also you can easily hate them if they are done in certain way. This whole story arc will cover a lot of this, but Karen’s flashback gives a small preview of some things I will cover later on.
This is actually the first time I’ve incorporated a flashback into Back Office. This is signified by the black colour in the panel gutters. This is often used in Manga for dream or memory/flashback sequences. I also used this trick in Chapter 1 of Bata Neart, to underline the seriousness of the ‘Bas’ death cast.
