And that note, we end Back Office: ReCall.
As chance would have it we finish on July the 4th, and I so I hope my US readers (which is most of you) are having fun this holiday weekend 🙂
Thank you for following in this new-look Back Office story. I hope you liked the new format and please stay tuned for updates on the next chapter 🙂
Karen may have waited too long to contact him. At any rate she waited too long to prevent Mike’s current dilemma.
I’m ashamed to say that I don’t quite get the final panel. I see Emily’s sign and awning, but is Mike bringing it down on Gary’s head, or is he climbing the wall, or did he just pass out from the stress? Or something else?
@Delta: Aww man…I must have screwed up that panel 🙁
It was just an atmosphere shot away from Mike and Gary, showing Emily’s shop-front. I’ve noticed this done sometimes in manga, but I clearly need to work on my execution of it 😛
Alas, yes. Although there’s plenty of blame for Mike on this too, Karen hasn’t really helped here (despite her genuine concern for him). We’ll get to see how that goes in the next chapter 🙂 There’s a sneak-peak next week with the filler page.
@Rawr: Now that I know that there’s nothing hidden, and now that I realize that the last speech bubble is Mike’s, it all makes sense. 🙂
I didn’t stumble at all at that panel, but then again, I’ve read all of Detective Conan where this has probably appeared 4 – 600 times in total…
