Loooook into my eeeeeeeyes! Sharon the evil PE Teacher makes her return into the re-drawn Bata Neart, with her first ever re-draw scene (her previous appearance was artwork saved from the original Bata Neart draw).
I also used this page to experiment with light flares. I hope it turned out ok 😀
… Because that previous “suicide attempt” was done just to ruin the PE teacher’s day, right. 😛
… Is she actually ‘evil’ though, or are we just using the term comically?

@Red: No she’s not really evil 😀 Just very stern. I sort of designed her as carbon-copy of all those generic ‘hard-ass’ gym coaches that you’ll she in many shows, and for her to give Ashling & Co. a hard time.
But in the end, she is a ‘goodie’ and is really just looking out for the girls’ safety.
@Azrael: Go back 30-40 years and that might very well happen 😀
Sharon will be punishing the pair of them with chores etc.. in the next chapter. In the original 2005 draw, she had them running laps around the sports-grounds. I’ve now removed that for the sake of wrapping up the chapter sooner (this one has been pretty long), but I’m going to introduce some form of consequence for this night, in the re-draw of Chapter 4.
Right now, I think it’ll be them mowing and re-lining the school’s Camogie pitch 😀

I went to a Catholic coed high school south of Chicago from ’68 to ’72 (uh, last century). AND, the male PE coach had a paddle that he used, albeit rarely.
If Sharon wants to, she can use corporal punishment in the Bata Neart universe. I’ve heard that it is still allowed in certain parallel universes… and YOU are calling the shots in the one that you create. Corporal punishment in schools has a long history, and its use was recommended to King David in Jerusalem about 3000 years ago. I can dig up that reference for you if you want. Since its use is both historical, and even recommended by the Creator of our universe, I’d assume that it is entirely appropriate to take, without fear of criticism, whatever position you desire regarding its use. And if Sharon wants the two to do some assuming of a position for a swift attitude adjustment, that also should be reasonable.
