I suppose you could say that the other people were too consumed by surprise and fear to free themselves from Q-Matic, but even then it's a bit of a stretch for her to be able to free herself from that bind. But I felt that the drama called for it, and when drama calls...it usually wins on my drawing table. :D This scene gets continued next week! Heroin Power Activate! (…hey wait a minute…) :)

It could very well be that Karen knows a bit about weapons (She did seem pleased to see the 'hardware' room earlier on). The weird thing about writing some of these characters, is that they are sort of making their own story as I draw them. It's almost as if I have no real control on what they do next! Karen is very similar to Gary, in the sense that I didn't really plan her creation. She just sort of appeared out of nowhere, and has been growing since. Not to say that some people don't have a natural talent for certain weapons, but it isn't exactly common.
