Needless to say, the ‘Team’ it is building up is devoid of ethics, freedom or emotion. Karen’s plan had better work…or everyone is doomed to spending their lives as zombified slaves.
It’s a mining operation! Well, they had to be up to something that needed a bit of kidnapped manpower. The kind of plot point that is so far into cannot be guessed that it also cannot surprise. If there is one thing that you could improve in your writing, it is to surprise me a bit more. But I have three years worth of output still to read through – maybe you already improved on this!
