And so Aoife’s ‘Ninja plan’ comes to fruition…very poorly.
I kind of like some of the elements that are in this page. Here, I’m trying my best to show more of both the School and also the far-off town of Ballinafil. I’m still thinking about the layout of the town itself, but from a distance I still don’t have to worry about the details.
The place isn’t real by the way. I’m not sure if there really s a place called Ballinafil. (Could easily be wrong π )
Why not, “Woohoo!”? I mean, it’s not like they can catch you if they pursue now… and you’re screwed on the return anyway, since you signed your name on the distraction :P.
I always have a soft spot for Aoife’s type of character, probably because I was a similar sort of screwball in my school days…
I just noticed that tower sticking out of the forest rather dramatically. What is that? Or is it a significant plot item?
The Obelisk of Unending Sorrow of course. The story is about to take a real hard left turn. Then again it could be Castle Anthrax. π
Hmmm, it seems Aoife does a runner quite often. Adventures are always more fun with friends. What’s that line: “A good friend will bail you out of jail. A true friend will be sitting next to you saying; “Damn, that was fun.”‘ π
Good to hear you have a soft spot for an Aoife-type character. Out of the many characters I have created, she is by far my favourite and I love to work her into stories. She is turning into a bit of a favorite to a lot of others I’ve spoken to about Bata Neart. One had even stated that: ‘We all know an Aoife like that’ π
Ahh, the Round Tower? It is a bit a landmark that I like to work into Colasite Muire, in order to use in future stores. The original 2006 Chapter 3 actually had the Ghost-girl leading Ashling and Aoife up into the tower, but I’m now scrapping that idea for something else. I will however be using the tower in future.
You’ll actually see quite a few of these towers in Ireland. Most were constructed as Anti-Viking defenses, and several still survive to this day.
@Azrael: βA good friend will bail you out of jail. A true friend will be sitting next to you saying; βDamn, that was fun.β
This is probably the best description of Aoife and Ashling’s friendship I have seen. Although, I would add that if they ever end up in jail, it would be entirely Aoife’s fault….and also Ashling would strangle her after the ‘That was fun’ comment. π
