What I’m wondering is…did the school invest on all that CCTV gear, or is Sharon so obsessed with security that she did it herself? Well….at least she’s deputised Azreal to “help”.
In the meantime, something a little different:
Coffee Party’s 2019 book came out last weekend with Nao & the Gang in Tokyo. I mentioned before that there was a link with Back Office & Bata Neart and this years book, showing a cameo of two of the characters. However what I didn’t mention was a far more signifigant link.
If you look closely on the cover to the bottom-right you might notice a character signed “Kes”. That is none other than our very own Kessy Athena! That’s right, Kessy joined in on the Coffee Party this year and has added to more to the insane lore of our collective project π
“Wait a minute!” You might say while pointing at me accusingly. “J’accuse Rawr! You never mentioned that readers here could join in on that!! I wanna join in!!” And you’d be right, I never did mention it, and I’ve been really bad at promoting Coffee Party. I’m going to remember to recruit more from here too, starting with next year π Everyone who loves to draw manga is welcome and Kessy certainly displayed that love of the art in this year’s Coffee Party.
If you are curious and would like to get a copy of this year’s book, I will make details available on how to do this. I might even do a competition to win a copy. Watch this space.
Congrats, Azreal, you’re in the comic!
Now you can partake in the many sorts of magical-girl mascot shenanigans, like those we see in Sailor Moon!
Capt. Sharon is on guard. Unfortunately her security net failed to cover the window to Aoife’s room. π
I like the H + A heart. I wonder if our Lucky Star has seen that. π
@Itmauve: I turn up every now and again. When I want to. >^.^<
@Itmauve: Azreal was hired in a while back as School Cat with a bonus role of being Aoife’s catch-all excuse to go missing from class. Check out Chapter 8: Home Alone in the dropdown and you’ll see an appearance. If you read Back Office, be sure to look out for exclusive Azreal(tm) merchandise shown there too π
There will be more Azreal shenanigans, you can be pretty sure of that π
@Azreal: I was wondering if people would remember Heidi π
Somehow I’m pretty sure that Aoife knows exactly where all the camera blind spots are. It’s a shame she isn’t there! Why do I get the feeling that this is going to end with Ashling and Fiona driving off to make their escape with Sharon on foot running flat out and nearly catching them?
(Starts playing the Terminator theme again.)
@Kessy:
Ok I’m back sorry guys been caught up with life stuff and have not been checking the comic. wow that is interesting I wonder ig the Bata Neart will be used to “liberate” some transportation. Its been a long time since we seen it used.
I’m getting a very Dr. Claw vibe from this comic.
“I’ll get you next time McDonough! Next Tiiiime!’
@Howard: The Bata Neart has quite the checkered past when it comes to automobiles. It COULD, however, be used to create a nice, violent electrtical storm which might fry all of Sharon’s high-tech snoop stuff…
@Delta: I dunno about that. Would Ashling even know where Sharon’s equipment is? Or how to disable it without, say, setting some buildings on fire or electrocuting someone? Cause I’m pretty sure that the Bata Neart wouldn’t understand, “Fry Sharon’s computer!” even if it’s in Irish.
Although it’d prolly be pretty amusing to watch her try.
@Kessy: Just the electrical interference from a lightning bolt messes with sensitive electronic equipment–a direct strike isn’t necessary.
You’re right, though, watching her try for that WOULD be amusing. ^^
@Delta: I’m not an expert, but don’t most modern electronics have some degree of surge protection against day to day stuff like lightning? I wouldn’t really expect the RF generated by lightning to do any real damage, especially since it seems like we’re just talking about CCTV. I’d be surprised if you got more than some momentary static in the signal from anything short of a strike within, say, a few meters.
It would be especially amusing given Ashling’s limited command of Gaelige.
“Ummmm, toirneach!” (makes a loud booming sound) “No, that’s not right, uh, solas!” (bright flash) “That’s not right either… urscaoileadh leictreach!” (The Bata Neart gives Ashling its best cat-like “WTF are you on about, human?” look.)
(Note: I got all that from Google Translate, so…)
@Kessy: In retrospect, I shouldn’t have used the word “fry”. I was actually thinking of a rapid series of lightning strikes scramblimg the video feeds. I was once in a nighttime mountain storm where the lightning was so rapid and intense that you could have actually read a book in the light flashes, and the thunder was a constant roar. It was all very thrilling, but my ears rang for a couple of of hours after it passed. π
That’s the kind of Bata-action I was thinking of. (Try “drochaimsir”) ^^
I’m getting a very Dr. Claw vibe from the second panel.
“I’ll get you next time, McDonough! Next tiiiiime!” followed by an Azrael meow.
Oh my gods, Farren, do you realize what you’ve done? Now Aoife is going to insist on getting one of those hats… “Go go Aoife copter! Wheeeeeeeeee!”
Lol. I can kind of see her doing that, even if it’s just for fun.
And sorry about the double post. My browser didn’t show the first one.
