Everyone keep in mind that Aine trained as a battle witch even though she didn’t yet have her staff, while Ashling had her staff, but no training. I’m with
@Azrael:, and I believe that Ashling can learn as well.
Ashling was just thrown into combat without any warning or preparation – I think most people would have her reaction.
@Kessy: That’s where I’m trying to go with her here. I’m going to try and make Ashling’s reaction to all of this as relatable as possible. Unlike many Magical Girl stories where the heroine would dutifully jump into her warrior role in the first few acts, I wanted to try my hand at drawing what an *actual teenager* would do in the same situation.
She’ll get there…but it will take some doing 🙂

We should do a contest and have Rawr redraw this panel with the winners suggestion for a vote incentive for TWC when he is less busy.
Howard speaks great wisdom concerning a contest–as long as there is ni time constraint on WHEN it is drawn. @Kessy, As per Aoife choosing the outfit, I’m just a bit nervous that she would choose the same bunny outfit that SHE is wearing in her latest incentive pic…..
@Delta: I disagree about Aoife putting Aine in that particular bunny “suit.” Aoife’s already seen the interesting aspects of Aine in that outfit, and I don’t know that she’d want to share the viewing pleasure with the general public. 😉 I think Aoife would be much more likely to go nuts with some interesting cosplays.
@Kessy: I’m moderately sure that any outfit that Aoife would find “interesting” wouldn’t be all that much different than the one we’re discussing. ^^
Oh you can bet Aoife would have a few ideas. (Also, remember that the whole “Daisy Duke” look is probably her doing too :D)
