I’m impressed they climbed up there all together without falling off. That could have ended in disaster.
Then again, Ashling did survive her last spine-shattering fall just fine.
@melareblu: I’m also impressed at Aoife’s rope making skills if it held all three of them without breaking. Although I would point out that they’re only climbing to the second floor. Unless you land in exactly the wrong way, the worst I’d expect falling from that height is maybe a broken bone.
LOL, so Ashling’s face really is just from getting a good look at Aoife’s bum? I figured that there would be other hijinks at play to get that expression out of her.
I’m wondering what Aine is looking at with such surprise in panel 3? I can’t quite tell.
@melaredblu: I did have a whole page orignally planned to cover the ‘climb’. However I nixed it in favor of getting the story moving. I’m going to assume that Ashling now has put faith in Aoife’s ability to tie knots, given her past as a Scout π
@Kessy: Aoife’s dorm room is actually on the 3rd floor. Ashling’s dorm is directly across the hall from her, and Fiona’s dorm is also on the same floor, but further down the corridor. (I really should map out everything one of these days). A fall from that high could kill or paralyze depending on how you fall :O
Ashling’s ‘look of unease’ is mostly due her view being filled by Aoife’s lower quarters (to say it politely). If you remember the ‘Ask Aoife’ specials, Aoife hasn’t much in the way of personal boundries when it comes to Ashling. This has left Ashling a little weary whenever Aoife is ‘loose’ with her modesty π
As for Aine…erm…it seems I’ve screwed up the drawing here. She has gotten a hold of Aoife’s bed sheets and is surprised by them. Mostly likely due the softness of the material. I wanted to do a larger scene where she get’s shocked by the contents of Aoife’s room, but I going to save some of that for later I think…(hope it works)
@Delta: O_o Rimshot? Really? LOL I think I’ll just choose to believe that was accidental. Anyway, it looks to me like Ashling is clearly looking at Aoife not Aine in that panel.
@Rawr: I thought that looked like a blanket or something that Aine is looking at, what confused me is that we can see Aoife’s bed in the background. Unless Aoife has a roommate?
@Delta: My guess was that Ashling would know were *not* to look when Aine was climbing…only to be greeted with an Aoife-ass in the face while trying to climb in π
@Kessy: I didn’t plan this out very well, but the layout of Aoife’s dorm includes 2 single beds (one on each wall).
Aoife uses the bed on the right side of the window, which is were Aine has grabbed the sheet from. The other bed is not occupied and is often used as a ‘sofa’ by Aoife.
@Kessy: Oooo, so much interest in my bedroom. Now I wish I did a better job cleaning it (*embarrassed*)
To answer your question Kessy; the Nuns are very nice to me and since I live at school all of the time, they let me have a double by myself.
…I’ve tried to convince Ashling to move over from her tiny single dorm, but she’s hard to convince sometimes π Either way, the extra bed is great as a sofa. I usually have a Movie Night on Thursdays we’ll get together on my ‘sofa’ while we eat microwave popcorn and watch whatever I’ve managed to download.
@delta: Well, there’s bad puns and then there’s kind of bad taste. Err, you do know that I’m talking about the”rimshot” bit, not the “bummed out,” bit right?
@Kessy: In comedy, the “bA-DUM, (cymbal crash)” sound a drummer makes to punctuate the punchline for the comic’s joke is colloquially known as a “rimshot”. I have no idea what definition you are using. *headscratch?*
@Delta: Errrr, hmmm, how do I put this? Let’s just say that a rim job has nothing to do with cars or hubcaps. I don’t really think it’d be appropriate to go into more detail here, so I’d suggest you ask google or urban dictionary.
And I’m glad that that was accidental. LOL I didn’t think it sounded like something you’d say on purpose.
I must say I am impressed with the level of self-sensorship that’s being employed in this ‘rimshot’ discussion. You’ve all managed to successfully refer to a fairly cheeky couple of things…without actually describing them.
For the record…I was thinking of the cheeky thing….I didn’t know that ‘rimshot’ was the “Ba-Dum *Kishhh*” noise. But now I do π (/learning)

@Rawr: & @Kessy: As I count them, Ashling has TWO bums to contend with, leaving her (wait for it) BUMMED OUT! *Rimshot* ^^
Oh, and Aoife got the panties, and Aine …… didn’t. O.o

That sounds just like the dorm room I lived in when I was at uni, except I had the left hand bed.
#AskAoife: So just how did you manage to get a double dorm room to yourself?
@Kessy: Oooo, so much interest in my bedroom. Now I wish I did a better job cleaning it (*embarrassed*)

@Kessy: It was SUPPOSED to be bad. That’s the whole idea with puns. ^^
Well, MY puns, at least. π
No, you’re right Delta-v. When it comes to puns, even when they’re pretty good, they’re still bad. π

@Kessy: Rim JOB I know the meaning of (in the academic sense only), and you’re right, I wouldn’t. π I’d never heard “rimshot” applied to that.
