Ooo…and a friend request too π I reckoned that Aoife would already have been TwitFace friends with Ashling’s mother, but maybe Rebekka signed up especially that day…
Yea…maybe Ashling doesn’t want to go home tonight π
Oooo, PS: The flashing joke is one of Anna’s ideas. Some of the best lines in Bata Neart and Back Office have come from her. It pays off being married to a comic genius π
Aaaaaand reality starts to set in. I guess there’s no mobile coverage up in the mountains. I really hope that Ashling remembered to tell her Mom that she was going hiking with Aoife today. If not… Maybe Ashling can go back to the cave and crash with Aine for a while. LOL
Aine’s probably more worried about the situation than the other two are. I’m sure she can tell from their tone and expressions that something’s wrong, but she must have absolutely no idea what.
Love the flashing joke. Very very Aoife. ^_^
Busted.
Hoist by your own petard, Aoife. <3
@Azrael: Yeah them petards ‘ll getcha if ya aint careful. O.o
Back to the comic, it would seem that Aoife could (sort of) explain to Rebecca that they were out if cell range and now need a ride. (Recriminations to follow.) ^^
@Azrael: I’m pretty sure Aoife would say it was still worth it.
@Kessy: Knowing Aoife…she probably would π
@Delta: I don’t think that excuse would sail. Ireland has had blanket cell coverage for the past 10+ years. You’re hard-pressed to find somewhere that’s isn’t covered by a GSM tower somewhere. (Although underground & in a cave, might do the trick).
@Azreal: To be honest, I think she enjoys her own ability to cause havoc π
@Rawr: It seems then, that Aoife’s phone would have alerted her earlier. No matter what else was happening, I don’t see her forgetting to check it.
@Delta: It depends on the terrain. Rock and soil is opaque to radio, so they certainly wouldn’t have gotten a signal while in the cave. Outside, well in the US I’d be very surprised to get reliable coverage in an area like that. They did hike a few hours into the mountains from the nearest road, after all. Of course, in the US, I’d be downright shocked to see bus service in an area like that, so what do I know? LOL
Oh Aoiffe, you and your nudity jokes.
Wait, who’s Twitface?
@Kessy / @ Rawr: I’m entirely certain she would and does, hence all the Aoife <3 I have. π
@melardblu: Rawr’s wry sendup of Twitter/Facebook. I find it singularly appropriate.
@melaredblu: As Delta just said, Twitface is my sendup of Twitter/Facebook, and is also a sort of copyright-free catch-all for social media in general π
I’m also trying to future-proof the comic a little. When Bata Neart first started, MySpace & Bebo were still of relevance, and you never know, the same will probably happen to Facebook in the next 10-15 years.
@Azreal: I’m also certain that she’d be delighted to hear that π She would likely also then playfully squeeze your nose, make a *honk-honk* noise and then run off in a random pattern….so yea…. π
The return of twitface! Excellent!
I wonder of Aoife has done the “fun kind” of flashing.
@Henry: She ain’t a shy girl…so…you never know π
