Hello all…well, ain’t that a marketable little Bata Neart (it’s not like I’m hoping to market Bata Neart toys / accessories or anything like that….nope….not at all 😀 )

Áine found the tray table. 😆
Aiofe. <3
And now I'm reminded of "Sídh Beag agus Sídh Mór" 🙁
As always, Aiofe’s logic is inarguable. At least I’m not going to argue it with her.
Looks to me like even the necklace would be a lot of work to make. ><
Cute, though. ^^
@Azrael: 😀 Glad you liked that, and this week’s ‘Aoife-isms’
Impressed that you know ‘Sídh Beag agus Sídh Mór’ :O
@Kessy: It would be difficult to argue with Aoife, especially when she’s usually so positive about stuff. A serious argument with her might devolve into madness though….
@Delta: Thank you 😀 At least it will be easier for me to pose Ashling whenever the Bata Neart is in necklace mode. Figuring out good poses for a person holding a staff is surprisingly difficult 🙂
2 things: ” A Little Peace And A Great Peace” …. Is that a phrase or song?
2-serious about that Strong Stick necklace?
Jim
I just figured something out. Out of all the possible scenes of Aine reacting to modern culture, the one I most want to see is the first time Aoife makes her watch an episode of Sailor Moon. I have no idea what Aine will make of that, although I’m sure it’s going to happen relatively soon. Probably as soon as Aine has a working knowledge of English. Unless Aoife decides to teach her Japanese…
I’m betting the bus is doomed now. ‘Cause why wouldn’t it have an extra-big mode?
@James:
-> Sídh Beag agus Sídh Mór is a song.
-> Why the big deal with the necklace? There are a couple of reasons:
1) This fits in with Aoife’s magical girl fantasies, and thus she’s pretty excited by this.
2) In terms of plot it establishes that Aine has working knowledge of the Bata Neart
3) Establishes that the Bata Neart has shape-changing abilites.
4) Gives Ashling the ability to hide the Bata Neart from others.
5) It also gives me an opening and closing move for Ashling for future actions scenes.
Thus, kinda important for the story.
@Kessy: It would certainly be high on Aoife’s priorities to explain the meaning of ‘kawaii’ to her 😀
Naturally, I can’t draw Sailor Moon in my comic due to copyright, but I can establish a similar analogue. Since I’m currently a student of Nao Yazawa I had considered introducing an analogue of her magical-girl shoujo manga (turned anime) ‘Wedding Peach’, which I’m retitling to a similar homage named ‘Engagement Apple’. Aoife will occasionally reference this, and will likely try to show Aine.
I kind of want to do this in tribute to Nao, who has been an excellent sensei and friend, and who’s teachings have really helped me improve my manga-game.
@O8h7w: The shape-changing Bata Neart could conceivably do that. However….that isn’t what happens 😀
