All your bases be belong to us? Ashling and Aoife before need a little work on their Irish, but at least it was funny enough to break the ice with Γine. Since this is the first mention of her name, there is a pronunciation helper at the bottom of the page, much like what I put in when Aoife was first named in Chapter 2.
For the record, both “AWN-ya” and “AWN-ye” are valid pronunciations of the name.
I hope you all enjoyed the holiday and are looking forward to an awesome new year. 2015 proves to be a big year for myself personally, as well as a big year for the comic with it’s first completed book, and possibly even it’s first ever convention showing. Watch this space..
Next week…it looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship….
Communications: Established! Sort of. π
And Aoife brings a smile to another face. π
I like to think that giving people smiles is Aoife’s very own magical ability. It’s a kind of everyday magic that anyone can do, and everyone can appreciate π
Maybe anyone can do it, but some for sure do it a lot more easily and more often. And I needed a smile, so thankyou, Aoife. I’d give you a hug in return if it was possible π
I have to say, for someone who speaks more than one language fluently, my reaction would be pretty much the same as Γine’s. π This had me laughing.
@O8h7w: Knowing Aoife, she’d probably appreciate the hug. She’s a friendly gal after all π
@Jen: I’m glad you enjoy! Alas, this is also my own level of Irish ability. She’d be laughing at me too π
It’s awfully magnanimous of her to try and reach out to the person that stole their clothes and tied them up.
Well, that’s Aoife for you π She doesn’t really hold grudges, and is quite empathic. Think that once she noticed how hurt and frightened Γine was, that she probably thought that she wasn’t a bad person at all, just very afraid. So Aoife, does the same as Ashling and reaches out. Fortunately, Aoife’s very-broken Irish was hilarious enough to Γine to break the tension entirely. This calming of relations will roll onto the next page π
Aoife uses Ridiculously Bad Grammar! It’s super effective!
Sorry, couldn’t resist. π
If there were more diplomats like Aoife, the world would be a far better place. π
@Kessy: Aoife uses Splash! . . . It’s not very effective. .
(Couldn’t resist either…:D)
@Delta: Too true π There would also be UN-mandated Aoife-Patrols to combat sadness with over the top cuteness. …also ‘Kawaii’ would be recognized as a world religion π
