I feel sorry for John. Not only does his friend / love interest not care that his car has exploded, but she’s also clearly excited by it, all while Ashling looks on dumbfounded. I wonder if it was a good idea pairing those two together…I may have to re-think that plan 
So there you have it. Ashling’s first ‘successful’ spell, and with that the dynamic of the comic should now start to change. We are now only 1-2 pages away from the end of Chapter 4, and after a short break I will introduce Chapter 5, which will bring to an end Bata Neart’s first volume.
Moreover, Chapter 5 will introduce a critical new story element, and after that I will finally be writing new material for Bata Neart for the first time in nearly 4 years. I only got 3 pages into Chapter 6 before I dropped it began the re-draw. These are exciting new waters folks!
Next week, the beginning of the end…
