Huh…I guess we’re going for a flashback then…I wonder what we’ll find out this time…
Now for something slightly different:
Jepp, something actually possesed me to list Bata Neart on one of these hosting sites. So for now at least I am posting up onto LINE Webtoons. I’m considerinfg Tapas as well, but word is that long-form comics like Bata Neart tend to do badly there. We’ll see I guess π Click on the image if you are a Webtoon reader and you can follow Bata Neart there too.
Be aware that I will always launch new pages here first π
INCOMING!
And the man in the back said everyone attack…
As he raises his hands to the sky
And the girl in the corner is everyone’s woman
She could kill you with a wink of her eye!
By the way, Rawr, I really like the Ashling painting below. Neat seeing her in colour from time-to-time.
Hopefully, how to blow those things back to the Netherworld.
It might just be me, but every Tapas comic I’ve tried to follow was a stone bitch to navigate in, and the longer the story, the longer it took to find the new pages. Did I just keep missing the proper keys, or is it a limitation of the format?
Ashling looks alot younger in color….
ugh I hate google translate. I’m pritty sure she did not say “sausage” google!!!
@Howard: Rough translation would be, “Attack”.
@Azreal: You got the translation right, it is an attach spell π
….alas not a sausage spell…would be handy for lunch though…
@Delta: I’m still cagey about the idea of Tapas. It reminds me a lot of other exchanges where I’ve done badly, and the whole place seems to be geared towards Gag-a-day strips which isn’t what I do. I might try eventually, but I’ll be shocked if Bata Neart or Back Office manage to make any kind of impact.
I guess Ashling does look a bit younger. I think it might be the eyes. In more detailed drawings I tend to detail the iris of the eyes, which something that I sub-consciously stopped doing after Book 1 of Bata Neart. I think I will probably bring detailed iris’ back in the next chapter.
@Howard: Beward Google Translate and the Irish language. It gets a lot wrong and sometimes assumes that English grammar will work with it π (It really doesn’t)
@Rawr: All five of the strips I tried were stories. I gave up on three, because they were a little confusing, and it was so hard to page back to re-read stuff.
The two I still read, are both long-form, and it’s pretty tedious to navigate: Click on bookmark on favorites list. Advance to next page. Read page. Set new bookmark. Back up to previous page. Remove previous bookmark. Repeat for each new post. I guess it makes sense for smartphones, tablets, and the like, but on my Chromebook–meh.
Okay, what’s with the double post? Was that there yeaterday? I’m pretty sure it wasn’t. :/
@Azreal: I removed the double-post now. For some reason, in addition to the post you put up there was a second post from about one minute before that need approval before it would appear. I haven’t seen that before with an established comments user (usually just pops up with brand new commenters).
@Delta: Smartphones / Tablets are part of the reason I’m mirroring on Webtoon. Bata Neart doesn’t look too bad on the Webtoons app, but on the browser-based site it’s….meh. I’m nearly at 100 subscribers so far which I guess isn’t too bad. It’s a little short of the couple million that other Webtoons get π
I know that it’s late but the Tapas app uses only one bookmark per comic. Tapas also has a much smaller user base than Webtoon and it has poached a number of my favorite Tapas toons. Lumine, Empyrea and Four Leaf being a few of the top of my head.
