Well, in fairness Bata Neart started off as a print comic (on a doomed German arts magazine), and only became a webcomic later….but yea….I don’t think Ashling is going to like the truth here….

The truth hurts, Ashling. If it makes you feel any better you’re much better off inside a webcomic than some of us in our universe.
Rawr, don’t you think you should have warned her?
@AskAshling: Actually, now that I think about it, I live in a universe where Donald Trump is President of the United States. (No, seriously, I’m not joking.) So which of us is living in a webcomic? I’m just not sure anymore. What do you think, Ashling? You too, Aoife?
@Kessy: This is all very wierd, but Aoife seems to like you guys, and she tends like nice people.
What the hell is a Donald Trump?
Oooo! Ooo! I know about this!
From what I can tell, he is a being known as “The Donald” and apparently made up of a corn snack known as “Chee-toes”. He is like an 80’s soap-opera villian but he has the magic ability of making people think that he is good at business, even though he really isn’t! Maybe he is some kind of warlock too?
He also has a very pretty trophy-wife, who looks sad all of the time. I think that maybe he is not very nice to her π
He also used their version of TwitFace to win an election, which seems kind of clever, but then used the same thing to make everyone angry…which isn’t that clever.
Thier universe seems kind of cartoony too! But it feels more like a gritty 80’s anime than a webcomic!
@Ashling: Imagine your crazy uncle who thinks he’s the smartest, handsomest, most charming person in the world but is actually an idiot. Turn him up to 11 and spray paint him orange and you’ve got a decent approximation of Donald Trump.
@Aoife: A gritty 80’s anime? Well at least we don’t have killer cyborg monsters roaming the streets. At least not yet. I tend to think of it as a bad 90’s SF movie, like a knock off of Total Recall or The Fifth Element.
@Rawr: Hehe. That’s so neat that you put my comment in the comic like that. I feel kind of special now; even though I know that’s how you’ll do it for everyone. π I look forward to Ashling’s and Aoife’s reactions to our questions and comments.
@AskAshling Welcome to the madness, dear one. We’re all mad here. Have some tea. π
@Farren: Glad you enjoyed it π
