Áine and Aoife in the 2nd and 4th panels are just so cute. I love their expressions. Very well drawn. And Sharon…well, we have to compliment her lest we face her wrath. Also cute Áine tushy in that last panel. 😛
But really, that is a great drawing of Sharon. You really captured the fierceness of her.

Just glancing at this page got that Terminator drum line running through my head (again.)
One thing that struck me as a little odd is that in the last few pages Aine has seemed pretty happy and cheerful, not like someone running from some sort of non-giving up school teacher. And speaking of that, how does Sharon happen to be there at that moment? I assume she can’t track Aine’s magic. Can she?

While we don’t know what the Bata Draiochta’s full capabilities are, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to assume that it might also control water like the Bata Neart. Further, the nearby presence of surface water wouldn’t surprise me, either, so that would be a handy solution to the Sharon problem. ^^
It would at lest give them time to run away…..

@Azreal: I do enjoy drawing a happy Aine. Given her difficult past (and present) it’s nice when I get a chance to draw her smiling 🙂

@Kessy: The girls that Aine met earlier were part of Sharon’s PE class that ran past the dorm. She was going this way anyway. I had a whole page planned for her catching up with the class, but i dropped it in favor of other scenes.
Aine’s in a much better mood now that she’s found Aoife, who offers her some safety & stability in out mad future world. It’s stange that Aoife would offer stability of all things 😀
@Delta: Aine’s Bata Draiochta isn’t as strong as the Bata Neart, but it can do a lot of the same things 🙂
In the next chapter Aine will actually start training Ashling on some of this 🙂

@Armiture: Oh she’s not always angry. Inside I’m certain she has a bit of a soft side that can actually be happy about stuff 🙂 You’ll see an example of this in a few pages.
